Mesa Police Arrest Man on 4 Day Crime Spree
According to ABC as well as other local news agencies, Mesa Police have arrested a man who went on a 4-day crime spree. Per the reports, 34-year-old Guillermo Reyes was arrested and finally taken into custody. Police apprehended the suspect at a hotel in Chandler. According to authorities, Mr. Reyes is considered a violent offender and police had been allocating a significant amount of resources to locating the suspect. On his four-day crime spree, the alleged suspect stole multiple vehicles and was involved in an aggravated assault as well as armed robberies.
Police state that the violence began when Reyes opened fire on two victims at the Diamond Sports Grill in Mesa. The police reported that roughly 12 rounds were fired at the victims who were seated in their car. Each victim suffered bullet wounds, but neither victim knew why they were targeted. Later that evening Reyes allegedly robbed a third victim at gunpoint and stole the victim’s car.
The alleged suspect went on to rob at least two additional victims. He was finally apprehended by SWAT Officers who located Reyes at a local hotel. Arizona authorities have charged him with 19 felony counts.
