The horrific crash and investigation shut down northbound Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway at Broadway Road shortly before 5 a.m. The freeway was reopened later this morning.
Arizona DPS notified KTAR by email that “the vehicle was said to have been speeding before it hit a wall near University Drive.”
